Waxmoth Larvae (Waxworms) – Healthy Treats for Reptiles, Birds, and Fish

Waxmoth Larvae, the soft-bodied larval stage of the Lesser Waxmoth, are commonly known as Waxworms. Measuring approximately 15–20 mm, they are available in 15 g or 40 g packs.

Rich in vitamins and minerals, Waxworms are an excellent occasional treat for reptiles, particularly for conditioning or rewarding healthy animals. They are also a popular choice for birds, fish, amphibians, arachnids, and some small mammals.

Due to their high fat content, feed Waxworms occasionally rather than as a staple. Offer with feeding tongs or in an appropriately sized dish, and always remove any uneaten live food after a few hours.
