Shipping Policy – The Reptile Realm (Antrim, Northern Ireland)

At The Reptile Realm, based in Antrim, Northern Ireland, we are proud to offer reliable UK shipping on reptile supplies, live feeders, and invertebrates. Our goal is to ensure your order arrives quickly, safely, and in excellent condition, whether you’re a local customer or ordering from across the UK.

Shipping Days (Live Feeders & Invertebrates)

To protect the health and welfare of live items:

• Live feeders and invertebrates are shipped Monday to Wedensday only
• This prevents delays and avoids parcels being held over weekends
• Orders placed after the Thursday cut-off will be dispatched the following Monday

Order Processing

• Orders are processed within 1–2 working days
• You will receive a dispatch confirmation once your order has been shipped
• Tracking information will be provided where available

During busy periods, processing times may be slightly extended, but we always aim for fast and efficient dispatch.

Live Feeder & Invertebrate Shipping

We take extra care to ensure all live feeders and invertebrates arrive in excellent condition.

Our packaging includes:

• Secure, escape-proof containers
• Breathable packaging for airflow
• Insulation when required depending on weather conditions
• Careful preparation and handling

We strongly recommend that someone is available to receive the parcel on delivery, especially during extreme temperatures, to ensure the best outcome for live arrivals.

Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy

While we take every precaution to ensure your live feeders and invertebrates arrive safely, there may be rare cases where losses occur during transit.

To be eligible for a replacement or refund:

• You must video record the unboxing of your parcel from start to finish
• The video must clearly show the condition of the package on arrival and all contents inside
• Any issues must be reported within 2 hours of delivery confirmation
• Clear photos may also be requested alongside the video

Claims made without video evidence may not be accepted.

Please note:

• Minor losses during transit can occasionally occur and may not qualify for replacement
• We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, missed deliveries, or incorrect shipping details provided by the customer
• Someone should be available to receive the parcel on the first delivery attempt

Non-Live Item Shipping

• Dry goods, enclosures, and reptile supplies are shipped Monday to Friday
• Dispatch depends on order volume and courier collection schedules

Live Animals – Collection Only

All reptiles and live animals are strictly collection only from our shop in Antrim.

• We do not ship reptiles or live animals under any circumstances
• Orders containing live animals will automatically be marked as collection only
• Customers will be contacted to arrange a suitable collection time

Delivery Responsibility

Once your order has been dispatched, delivery times are handled by the courier.

While delays are rare, they may occasionally occur due to factors outside our control. The Reptile Realm cannot guarantee courier delivery times once the parcel has left our premises.
