HabiStat Classic Pro Pulse Proportional Thermostat for Precise Heat Control

The HabiStat Classic Pro Pulse Proportional Thermostat is designed to control suitable non-light-emitting reptile heat sources, such as ceramic heaters, heat mats and heat cables. It uses pulse proportional control to help manage heat output and maintain a more stable enclosure temperature when set up correctly.

This model has a 450 watt capacity and is suitable for reptile, amphibian and invertebrate enclosures where this type of thermostat is appropriate.

Important Note

Pulse thermostats are not recommended for light-emitting heat sources, basking bulbs or deep heat projectors, as the pulsing can cause visible flickering and may reduce lamp life. For those heat sources, a suitable dimming thermostat may be required instead.

How to Use

Connect the thermostat to a compatible heat source according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Position the probe correctly based on the setup and species being kept.

Set the required temperature and monitor the enclosure with a separate thermometer to confirm the warm side, cool side and basking or heated area are within the correct range for the animal.

Care Guidance

Thermostats are an important part of heating control, but they should always be used with regular temperature checks. Probe placement, heat source type, wattage and enclosure layout all affect performance.

Always use the correct thermostat type for the heat source. Do not use this pulse thermostat with light-emitting bulbs or deep heat projectors.
