How to Use
Connect the thermostat to a compatible heat source according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Position the probe correctly based on the setup and species being kept.
Set the required temperature and monitor the enclosure with a separate thermometer to confirm the basking area, warm side and cool side are within the correct range for the animal.
Care Guidance
Always use the correct thermostat type for the heat source. A dimming thermostat is usually better suited to light-emitting heat sources than pulse thermostats, which may cause flickering.
Thermostats should always be used with regular temperature checks. Probe placement, heat source type, wattage, enclosure size and ventilation all affect performance.
Make sure the animal cannot come into direct contact with the heat source or hot fittings. Use a suitable lamp guard where required.
