Care Guidance

Giant African Land Snails need an enclosure that holds humidity while still allowing good ventilation. Provide suitable substrate deep enough for burrowing, and keep the enclosure clean by removing old food and waste regularly.

Offer appropriate fresh foods and always provide a calcium source such as cuttlebone to support shell growth. Avoid unsafe foods, salty foods, processed foods or anything treated with chemicals.

Handling should be kept gentle and limited, especially while the snails are small. Always support the snail properly and avoid pulling them from surfaces.
