The Arcadia Solar Basking Floodlight is a reptile basking lamp designed to provide a broader spread of heat and visible light within suitable enclosures. Unlike a narrow spotlight, the floodlight beam can help warm a wider basking area when set up correctly.

This lamp uses a standard E27 screw fitting and should be used with a suitable ceramic lamp holder or compatible fitting. A dimming thermostat or suitable control may be required depending on the setup and species being kept.

How to Use

Install the lamp in a suitable ceramic lamp holder, clamp lamp or compatible fitting according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Position the lamp to create a basking area while still allowing the animal to move to cooler areas within the enclosure.

Monitor basking temperature, warm side, cool side and ambient temperature with reliable thermometers. Make sure the wattage, distance and enclosure size are suitable for the species being kept.

Care Guidance

Basking lamps get hot during use and should be positioned safely. Use a suitable lamp guard where there is any risk of the animal coming into contact with the bulb or hot fitting.

This lamp provides heat and visible light, but it does not replace a suitable UVB system where UVB is required. Always match heating, UVB, thermostat use and basking distance to the animal’s care needs.
