Arcadia Pro T5 UVB Max Kit, ShadeDweller, 2.5% UVB, 14 Watt

The Arcadia ProT5 ShadeDweller-Max represents the next step forward in the ShadeDweller range. This complete ProT5 lighting kit features a 14-watt, 22” / 55 cm Full-Spectrum + UV-B lamp, designed to deliver reliable, species-appropriate UV exposure in larger enclosures.

Developed by reptile lighting specialists, ShadeDweller-Max provides target UV levels of approximately UVI 1.0–1.5 at the basking zone when used in enclosures measuring 3 ft / 90 cm or longer. It is particularly well suited to standard vivarium sizes of 4 × 2 × 2 ft (120 × 60 × 60 cm) and above.

This system is ideal for species housed in environments that encourage natural, self-regulated basking behaviour. It offers consistent UV access while minimising the risk of excessive exposure as animals move throughout the enclosure. Many snake species are naturally inclined to climb, and providing vertical space enhances both physical and mental stimulation while allowing exposure to light from multiple angles. The ShadeDweller-Max 14W ProT5 is fully compatible with the Arcadia Reptile LampGuard Pro for safe and secure installation.

Although designed primarily with captive snakes in mind, ShadeDweller-Max is equally effective for select lizards and amphibians kept in larger enclosures that fall within Ferguson Zones 1–2 and are capable of safely positioning themselves to regulate UV exposure.

The ShadeDweller-Max is supplied complete with the dedicated ProT5 fixture, allowing seamless linking to additional ProT5 units or JungleDawn LED Bars. As with all Arcadia ProT5 systems, the fitting is precisely matched to Arcadia’s German-engineered lamps, offering flicker-free operation, rapid start-up, and robust internal electronic protection. The SO-T5 lamp maintains effective UV output for up to 12 months when used for up to 12 hours per day with Arcadia Reptile fittings.

ShadeDweller-Max is suitable for the majority of snake species when installed at appropriate distances to meet individual UVI requirements. Always consult the Arcadia Lighting Guide for species-specific recommendations.

Commonly suitable species include Royal (Ball) Pythons and other python species, Corn Snakes, King Snakes, Milk Snakes, Rat Snakes and other colubrids, Garter Snakes, Hognose Snakes, Boas, Mangrove Snakes, and more.
