The Arcadia Pro T5 UVB Max Kit, ShadeDweller is a low-output T5 UVB lighting kit designed for suitable reptiles, amphibians and larger enclosures where lower-level UVB exposure is appropriate. It includes a 14 watt ShadeDweller-Max lamp and ProT5 fitting.

This kit is commonly used for species that require lower UVB levels, but the correct placement, distance and enclosure setup should always be matched to the animal’s care requirements.

How to Use

Install the UVB kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Choose the correct mounting position and distance based on the species, enclosure size, mesh coverage, basking area and recommended UV Index range.

The animal should be able to access suitable UVB exposure while also having shaded areas and hides so it can move away from the light when needed.

Care Guidance

UVB requirements vary by species, enclosure type, lamp strength, distance, reflector use and mesh coverage. Always check the correct UVB level for the animal before installation.

UVB lamps should be replaced according to the manufacturer’s recommended schedule, even if the lamp still produces visible light. Use this kit alongside correct heating, temperature monitoring, hides, hydration and species-appropriate husbandry.
