How to Use

Install the kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Choose the correct ShadeDweller lamp strength and mounting position based on the species, enclosure size, mesh coverage, basking area and distance from the animal.

The animal should be able to access suitable UVB exposure while also having shaded areas, hides and cover so it can move away from the light when needed.

Care Guidance

UVB requirements vary by species, enclosure type, lamp strength, distance, reflector use and mesh coverage. Always check the correct UVB level for the animal before installation.

UVB lamps should be replaced according to the manufacturer’s recommended schedule, even if the lamp still produces visible light. Use this kit alongside correct heating, temperature monitoring, hides, hydration and species-appropriate husbandry.
