The Arcadia Ceramic Heater Bulb is a non-light-emitting heat source designed for suitable reptile, amphibian and invertebrate enclosures where additional heat is required. Because it does not produce visible light, it can be used in setups where heat is needed without adding extra brightness.

This type of heat source should be used with a suitable ceramic lamp holder, protective lamp cage or guard, and an appropriate thermostat. A pulse thermostat is commonly used with ceramic heat emitters.

How to Use

Install the ceramic heater bulb in a suitable E27 ceramic lamp holder that is rated for the bulb’s wattage. Position it at a safe distance from the animal, enclosure surfaces, décor and any flammable materials.

Use an appropriate thermostat to control the heat output, and monitor temperatures with reliable thermometers. Check the warm side, cool side and any heated area to make sure the setup matches the species being kept.

Care Guidance

Ceramic heater bulbs become very hot during use. Do not allow animals to touch the bulb, holder or hot fittings directly. Use a suitable lamp cage or guard wherever there is any risk of contact.

Make sure the heater is securely installed and kept away from flammable materials, loose substrate, décor and other electrical equipment. Check the holder, guard, cable and mounting position regularly as part of routine enclosure maintenance.

This bulb provides heat only and does not replace UVB lighting where UVB is required.
